Tickets on sale for Handel's Messiah Dec. 4

The Toronto Centre for the Arts will resonate with the joyful sound of Handel’s Messiah when conductor Kerry Stratton, the Handel Festival Orchestra and the Vocal Horizons Chamber Choir perform the beloved oratorio, Friday, December 4, 8 pm in the George Weston Recital Hall, 5040 Yonge Street in North York (North York City Centre subway).

Joining them are four exciting young soloists – soprano Caroline Davidson, contralto Deborah Overes (The Sound of Music), tenor Stephen Harland, and bass Michael Uloth (Canadian Opera Company Studio Ensemble).

Maestro Stratton invites concert-goers to bring a non-perishable donation for the North York Harvest Food Bank. All donors will receive a $5 coupon valid for purchase of any of the CDs being sold at that evening’s concert. These include Maestro Stratton’s CDs and those of Vocal Horizons.
