Take the Kraft Hunger Challenge, June 1 to 11
June 1st is Hunger Awareness Day and the North York Harvest Food Bank is joining Food Banks Canada and the Ontario Association of Food Banks in calling on all Canadians to act, by learning more about hunger in their community; asking government and community leaders to take action; or donating funds, food or time to ensure food banks can continue to meet the needs of Canada’s hungry.
In honour of Hunger Awareness Day on June 1, Kraft Canada is calling on the public to raise much-needed funds for hungry people in Toronto. Through the Kraft Hunger Challenge, running June 1 – June 11, Kraft Canada will match donations made to food banks across Canada dollar-for-dollar up to $150,000.
To donate through the Kraft Hunger Challenge, you can give online or by cheque. Please ensure that the online instructions box or the cheque memo line reads: Kraft Hunger Challenge. Donations must be received between June 1 and June 11 to be eligible for matching.
Please make cheques payable to 'North York Harvest Food Bank' and mail to:
640 Lawrence Ave. West
Toronto, Ontario M6A 1B1
Thank you for your support and for taking action to help tackle hunger in Toronto.
